Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (Loureiro) has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Plainville, CT office. The successful candidate will be working in our Front Office and will provide assistance to respective departments or management teams in day-to-day administrative tasks.

What You’ll Do

  • Answer a multi-line phone system and direct calls
  • Assist with routine aspects of transactional processes
  • Prepare various documents consistent with the style of the firm
  • Format and edit letters, reports, and other correspondence
  • Coordinate and make arrangements for conferences, meetings, and events
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail to employees and managers
  • Input and maintain data using Company and Microsoft software applications
  • Work safely and comply with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • High School diploma required; some college-level coursework preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a similar administrative position
  • Working knowledge of office practices, procedures, and standard office equipment
  • Experience with inventory management and supply requisition
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
  • Ability to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets
